International trade of goods of the Republic of Moldova in October 20251
Exports of goods in October 2025 were amounted to 409,2 million USD, with 18,5% more than in September 2025 and with 23,7% more compared to October 2024.
Exports of goods in January-October 2025, amounted to 3035,3 million USD, which is 2,9% more than in the corresponding period of 2024.
Exports of domestic goods in January-October 2025 amounted to 2370,4 million USD (78,1% of total exports), with 5,7% more than in the corresponding period of 2024, which influenced the increase of the total value of exports with 4,3%.
Reexports of foreign goods in January-October 2025 amounted to 664,9 million USD (21,9% of total exports), or 5,9% less than in the corresponding period of 2024, which influenced the decrease of the total value of exports with 1,4%.
Exports of goods to the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in January-October 2025 totaled 2068,2 million USD (4,4% more than in the corresponding period of 2024), accounting 68,2% of total exports, with 1,1 percentage points more than in January-October 2024.
Exports of goods to CIS2 countries in January-October 2025 amounted to 185,9 million USD (with 11,3% less than in the corresponding period of 2024), equivalent to a share of 6,1% in total exports, less with 1,0 percentage points compared to January-October 2024.
Imports of goods in October 2025 amounted to 995,5 million USD, with 6,2% more compared to September 2025 and with 25,7% more compared to October 2024.
Imports of goods in January-October 2025, totaled USD 8844,1 million, which is 19,4% more than in the corresponding period of 2024.
Imports of goods from the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in January-October 2025 amounted to 4776,2 million USD (with 30,1% more compared to corresponding period of 2024), accounting for 54,0% of total imports, more with 4,4 percentage points compared to January-October 2024.
Imports of goods from CIS2 countries in January-October 2025 amounted to 255,5 million USD (with 11,3% less than in the same period of 2024), equivalent to a share of 2,9% in total imports, less with 1,0 percentage points compared to January-October 2024.
The trade balance deficit in October 2025 was 586,3 million USD, which is 5,3 million USD (-0,9%) less than in September 2025, and with 125,2 million USD (+27,1%) more compared to October 2024.
The considerable gap between exports and imports of goods led to the accumulation of a trade balance deficit amounting to 5808,8 million USD in January-October 2025, which is 1352,5 million USD (+30,3%) more than the level recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.
In January-October 2025, the trade balance with the European Union (EU-27) recorded a deficit of 2708,0 million USD, and with CIS countries – 69,6 million USD, which is 1016,1 million USD (1,6 times) more, respectively with 8,9 million USD (-11,4%) less, compared to the values recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.
